lovely rooms, but so much not thought about and not worth the price. 1 no recliners or chairs to sit out on balcony, just a concrete bench 2 bedside table opposite side of bed to socket! 3 No blinds/ curtains on windows so up at dawn 4 light level made it impossible to see anything at night in bedroom 5 And worst point for the price, the breakfast was not good at all, for this level of accommodation A BIG PS the staff were lovely

A hotel doesn't need 5 stars to be brilliant. Nice big clean rooms with a good shower and a balcony. Had a nice stay and reception was friendly. We will be back if we are in the neighbourhood. Excellent start to visit Periyar National Parc. Also good breakfast.

This is a charming eco lodge style hotel with just 10 rooms, conveniently located at the edge of Kumily for access to the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Room was extremely comfortable and well kept. Service in the little restaurant was rather slow but everything was freshly cooked to order.

I have to start with the rooms...MASSIVE and spotless. Bigger than an average sized home in Mumbai. The property is small but is very conveniently tucked away, while being close to the market and the park entry. The staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast is continental only, but was delicious. The meals that we ordered were good too. For both, we were quite late due to the forest activities we had planned, and the staff willingly accommodated us. Wish we had stayed longer! My only suggestion is that it would have been handy to have a kettle in the room.

Loved this place! It's a small B&B rather than a hotel with lovely staff, big & very clean room, good location & nice breakfasts. The plum cake is also good The one tiny grumble is the lighting is poor! It is on the road to the National Park so if going, you can ask the driver of the bus to stop outside Tip for dinner - Grandma's cafe - it looks very basic but the food is great & low cost & is very close.
